If he is well — then I am happy too
November 2025

The story of Natalia and her son Sashko from Poltava. When Natalia and her son Sashko arrived at the Recovery Camp, she only dreamed of one thing — that her boy could feel accepted and calm among other children.

Acceptance and Support

Sashko has autism, and mood swings, tears, and tantrums had become common for him. But the mother believed that this camp would help him find new feelings — joy, lightness, and warmth. And indeed, everything changed from the very first days. The atmosphere of acceptance, kindness, and understanding did its job. Sashko began to smile, open up to people, and try new things.

“I liked everything — from the warmth of the people around to the calmness that finally appeared in Sashko. It seems that every day here brought us a small miracle.”

Activities and Emotions

Together they participated in competitions, tried yoga, meditation, and enjoyed time in the spa zone. Each activity helped Sashko become more uninhibited and self-confident.

“When the anthem was played, tears welled up. I was in a good mood, I felt light. And when I see that Sashko is fine, without tantrums, — then I am calm, then I am happy.”

Plans for the Future

After the camp, Natalia says that now they want to travel more, discover new places and acquaintances. Because such moments are not just a rest; they are steps toward a real life where there is room for joy, trust, and acceptance.

She advises all mothers not to hesitate — it is worth going, because such gatherings leave warm memories, hope, and the belief that anything is possible in the heart.
