Partnership for psychological support of families
January 2026
As part of the partnership with the Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund, a one-day psycho-emotional support camp in the format of a “Recovery Camp” was held for internally displaced families affected by the war. The event aimed to create a safe and supportive environment for the socialization and integration of children, strengthening family bonds, reducing emotional stress, and restoring the internal resources of families.

Mothers with children who had experienced the loss of their homes, forced displacement, prolonged stress, and a difficult period of adaptation to new living conditions took part in the camp. The one-day format made it possible to combine psychological support with active joint interaction and quality family time.

For mothers and children, this day became an opportunity to be together in a supportive environment, restore emotional contact, and feel stability. The camp program combined psychological support for mothers aimed at stabilizing their emotional state and providing practical self-regulation tools, as well as rich joint creative workshops, active and musical activities, and practical tasks. Children were actively involved in play and creative processes, which contributed to improved mood, reduced tension, and a sense of joy from joint activities.

The program also included psychological work with children of different ages, including teenagers, who had the opportunity to work with psychologists, talk about their experiences, and receive support in a safe format.

A total of 81 people participated in the one-day camp, including:
– 61 children
– 20 adults

At the end of the event, the children received small tokens of attention as part of the caring and supportive environment of the camp.

We sincerely thank the Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund for their partnership, trust, and the opportunity to jointly implement the initiative of psychological support for families in need.
